I have four more inventions to talk about. Here are some of them, spurs and plate armor.
Plate Armor
Plate armor is a historical type of personal armor made from iron or steel plates. Before plate armor knights would use chainmail, but several factors led to the development of plate armor from chainmail. Plate armor was light and could block most attacks at the time.
Spurs
Spurs are metal tools designed to be worn in pairs on the heels of riding a horse. Spurs are used to direct a horse or an other animal. Spurs were very helpful in wars because if your horse got scared of something you could direct them back and help them get over their fear. Spurs today remain icons of the wild west.
English Longbow
The English longbow was a powerful type of longbow. Men would start learning the English longbow as kids. It was used for hunting and as a weapon in warfare. A longbow was the height of a archer. The English longbow could pierce through armor or kill a horse.
The Blast Furnace
A blast furnace is a smelting furnace in the form of a tower into which a blast of hot air is compressed from the bottom. Trees became scarce because wood was used to fuel the blast furnace. Then coke was invented. Coke is a type of coal. They soon used coke to fill blast furnaces.
These inventions were all very interesting but I found spurs the most fascinating. How you can help your horse get over their fear and direct the horse.
