The ten plagues of Egypt is a story where there are ten disasters inflicted on Egypt from the God of Israel in order to convince the Pharaoh to let the Israelites depart from their slavery. The first plague was turning blood into water. When this happened they turned the nile river was turned to blood, which was there main source of water so all the fish died and they were very low on water. The second plague was frogs. The water was back to normal but there was frogs crawling out of the water and holes. The third plague was lice. The sand turned to lice and people and animals were being infected with lice. The fourth plague was flies. All of Egypt was being swarmed with flies but this only affected the Egyptians and not the Israelites. The fifth plague killed all their animals. The sixth plague was boils. This burned peoples skin and they had many scars because of this. The seventh plague was hail. The eighth plague was locusts. Locusts are short horned grass hoppers. The ninth plague was darkness. For 3 whole days it was complete darkness. The tenth and final plague was the death of the firstborn. In every household the firstborn had to sadly be killed.
