Archimedes

Archimedes was a Greek mathematician, physicist, engineer, astronomer and inventor. He was born in 287 BC in Syracuse. Archimedes was considered the greatest mathematician of his time because of his love and curiosity to learn more about the world. He wasn’t like other astronomers or mathematicians who believed that the study science was more noble, but Archimedes thought that his inventions were just toys and fun experiments. The reason that Archimedes was interested in these things were because he was the son of a noble astronomer and grew up loving the sun and the moon along with a big fascination with big numbers. He did end up dying at the age of 75 because Syracuse was under attack.
