Wind

Wind is air in motion. Wind forms when land is more heated than the water next to it, so it expands and rises over to the cool air. Wind also forms along mountain valleys where cool air from the top of the mountain moves down and ends up making what we call “catabatic winds” which can make strong winds and steady winds. To find out if its going to be windy we use barometers which help us figure out the weather by measuring the air pressure in any environment.
