Lasers
The laser is a device that emits light through a process of optical amplification. Lasers are used in many ways but it’s normally used to amplify a light source and turns it into one powerful light source. The laser was invented in 1960 by Theodore H Maiman. Theodore was an American engineer and physicist. He got over 100 awards and prizes, he made lots of money off his invention and became very successful later on.
Polio Vaccine
The polio vaccine is a vaccine that developed in 1955 to fight off the polio virus. The polio virus was a deadly virus that would affect adults and kids but manly kids. Sometimes when a kid got the polio virus they would become paralyzed. When the polio vaccine was invented and given to kids it would cure the virus and sometimes would allow them to walk again. The polio vaccine saved many lives and allowed more opportunities to open.
The Intermodal Container
The intermodal container is a large standardized shipping container that is designed and built for intermodal transport. One of the best things about the intermodal container is it can be moved from different modes of transport without having to be unloaded. It’s normally used to ship large items such as cars and other items.
The Integrated Circuit
A integrated circuit is a set of electronic circuits on one small, flat chip . It is found in almost every electronic device and also used in sim cards. The inventor is an American physicist named Robert Noyce. Robert not only invented the integrated circuit but he was a very smart kid growing up and became research engineer. Because of his achievements he became a million air in his 30s.
