Heliocentric Theory
The heliocentric theory says that the earth revolves around the sun. Nicholaus Copernicus was the one who figured this out. Without Copernicus ther’ed be no GPS. He also built upon existing foundations. By the 1500s, Europeans begin to change how they thought about this, because they followed the geocentric model
The Pencil
A pencil is a wooden sheled object with a peice of graphite in the middle. Many artist and people loved the pencil because they were cheap you can erase with a pencil. Before they only had pen and you can’t erase. Lead pencils don’t have really have lead they have graphite otherwise it would be dangerous. Pencils are cheap way to write and erase.
Copernicus
Nicholaus Copernicus had diverse talents, but speclized in astronmy. He is best known for heliocentric theory. The primary contribution he had was his challenge to the model of the universe. In the 1500s, when most people believed earth was the center of the universe he proposed his theory that the sun was in the center of the universe
Vesalius
Vesalius was a physician and author of one of the most influential books on human anatomy. He introduced systematic method of investgation to the field of anatomy. He was also a doctor this also ran in his family. Because of continining advancements, we have we have technolgy that saves lives today.
My favorite thing I learned about was the pencil, because to see how a everyday object had such a big impact on history was very intresting. I enjoyed learning how pencils are made and how much work goes in to a small object.
